Same at Lake Tahoe, haven't seen a USFS gate that looked inviting yet. Checked 4 different places on south shore recently.

Apparently the northern part of Tahoe all the way to the Oregon border area had elevated levels of snow this spring. Attributed to the La Nina weather pattern of last winter.

Looks like a great place for an fall/spring overnight camping ride.. I've never been up that way before. How do you get up there?

As of 6/7/2025 all the major USFS gates on south shore Lake Tahoe were open. I didn't check the USFS gate at the Spooner Summit, Nevada area near the fire station. I also didn't check a subdivision gate on the end of Kimberley Brooke Lane at the North Benjamin area of Kingsbury Grade, Stateline, Nevada.
