Spent a few days on the central sections of the Idaho BDR. Absolutely one of the most beautiful stretch of mountains I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a lot. A couple of days of rain before and during added to the perfect conditions. The first day I followed tracks in the undisturbed wet dirt and finally caught up the two riders in Elk City. Happened to be a couple of fellow page members Frank Vincent and Dan Hensley. Had lunch and parted company. Forecast to rain the next day so I headed back to my truck and they were camping out and continuing on the next day. I drove to a camping spot in the Clearwater forest and sat out the rain day. I learned the next day after I ran into Frank and Dan the next day they rode the Magruder corridor in the rain. I caught up to them on the Lolo motorway. They were headed for some bike maintenance and I was headed back to Boise. I had taken off for a day ride and was 3 days in on the same clothes. I did blow it by not getting a picture with them. I gotta say I’ve had 25 different motorcycles and on my second DR 650. This bike is perfect for what I’m doing.
